Abstract

This study aims to determine: fishermen's household livelihood strategies before the pandemic in
Kelurahan Tondonggeu, Kecamatan Nambo, fishermen's household livelihood strategies during the pandemic in
Kelurahan Tondonggeu, Kecamatan Nambo and fishermen's income before and during the pandemic in Kelurahan
Tondonggeu, Kecamatan Nambo. This research was conducted in Kelurahan Tondonggeu, Kecamatan Nambo,
Kota Kendari. This research was conducted from September 2021 to October 2021 with the number of key
informants as many as 13 fishermen, these respondents were determined intentionally. Data analysis in this study
used qualitative data analysis methods that were processed using fishermen's income. The results showed:
fisherman household livelihood strategies before facing the pandemic period in Kelurahan Tondonggeu,
Kecamatan Nambo, namely a) accumulation strategy b) consolidation strategy and c) survival strategy. The
livelihood strategies of fishermen's households in facing the pandemic period in Kelurahan Tondonggeu,
Kecamatan Nambo, namely a) the accumulation strategy, b) the consolidation strategy and c) a survival strategy.
The income of fishermen in Kelurahan Tondonggeu, Kecamatan Nambo, with COVID-19 having an impact on
fishermen where the income of bagang fishermen and fishing rods during the pandemic is lower than before the
pandemic.
